Mandela Day 2025 – A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Supporters
Thank you to Building Credit Management for your continued support and for the lovely blankets and thoughtful goodies donated for our little ones!
Grovest and Seed Academy paid us a visit this afternoon in honour of #MandelaDay. Gift bags filled with toys, toiletries, nappies, and more were handed out to the children in the Paediatric Burns Unit. We are forever grateful for your kindness and generosity!
This morning, puzzles and books were distributed at the clinic for both parents and children. Many thanks to Marni Graff and Phillipa Sundelson for your meaningful contribution.
Olives and Plates, along with Lindsey Leatherbarrow and Louise Francis, generously donated blankets and pyjamas towards our winter drive. These items will be taken home by our little patients when they are discharged. Thank you all for your heartfelt support.
In the week leading up to Mandela Day, nurses from Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre visited us daily in small groups to deliver donations of toys, educational materials, blankets, gift packs, toiletries, balls, hula hoops, treats, and more. Each team was taken on a tour of our units, and the donated items were lovingly handed out to our patients and their caregivers across the outpatient department, wards, and Paediatric Burns Unit on Mandela Day.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the staff, donors, and volunteers involved. Your generosity helped make Mandela Day 2025 a truly memorable and impactful occasion for our little patients and their families.
