Our volunteers give our children, at Chris Hani Baragwanath and Charlotte Maxeke hospitals, so much extra attention. This enables the children to learn new crafts and new words to write special messages to family members.
Post grad student Kamila Makan, is a regular volunteer. She has her honour’s degree in Human Genetics from Wits and is planning her Masters. Another volunteer is Nokukhanya Nkambule who is a Matric learner, and is seriously wanting to study medicine. Other volunteers like Sascha Cziganek also comes to do art and play with the children when she can, while she studies Art Therapy at UJ.
