Her initial role was to take charge of the maintenance & cleaning of our PSOPD and PSAW building, she however has done so much with us in the short space of time that she has been here. Some of the roles she continues to take on are:
- Ensures that the building is well maintained and clean at all times.
- Supportive role of operational issues with the department, working together with the operational staff.
- Assisting and supporting the nursing staff in the wards, sharing all her previous knowledge and experience with the staff.
- Emotionally supporting the lodger moms in the facility by visiting their babies in the wards and ensuring that they understand fully what is wrong with their babies.
- And lastly but not least, the Burns prevention campaign. The campaign is headed by Dr @nirvapatel, since June 2022 Sr Khawula has taken an interest and gotten involved in arranging the distribution of pamphlets in different Hospitals and talking about it in radio, recently @Kasi FM and then next will be @Eldos FM.
